Show extremist lawmakers how out of touch they are as they try to make it nearly impossible for any future citizen-led initiative to get on the ballot.
Their attempt violates the will of the people they were elected to serve!
We have a little more than 5 weeks to mobilize voters to turnout for a summer election with only one thing on the ballot—Issue 1.
Our Solon Dems Club efforts will include canvassing (knocking on doors) /lit drops and postcard writing.
(You may also make phone calls through the Ohio Democratic Party virtual phone bank below).
The canvassing/lit drops will be to heavily Democratic-leaning households where we will simply inform voters about the election on August 8 and answer any questions they may have—no persuasion or debate at the doors.
If you can canvass a neighborhood in Solon for the Vote NO in August campaign, please let us know.
We have turfs and informational materials available for you!
The postcards will go to similar households—primarily in apartment buildings —and will include a quick note and handwritten address.
We have packets of postcards and addresses ready for you to write!
WE ALSO HAVE “VOTE NO IN AUGUST” YARD SIGNS!!!!
Our club has purchased them from Cuyahoga County Democratic Party.

Don’t wait until it’s too late to request your vote-by-mail application for the August 8 Special Election. Request yours today by downloading the request form, filling it out, and returning it to the Board of Elections immediately. Early voting in this one issue election begins July 11 away.

Join other pro-democracy callers on phone banks run by the Ohio Democratic Party to help ensure that the 60% threshold to pass a citizen-led constitutional amendment never, ever becomes Ohio law. This is a national effort being driven to defeat Issue 1 on August 8.
